Sudley Corridor Study

Overview

County Planning staff was directed to provide the Board with recommendations for the Board's consideration regarding a corridor study for the Sudley redevelopment area from its intersection with Bulloch Drive to the border with the City of Manassas. The study should provide options related to planning, economic development, mobility, schools, law enforcement, and community services that provide a holistic approach to redevelopment that addresses affordable housing, transit, business and job creation, homelessness, literacy, and causes of poverty and crime within the corridor. The recommendations should include a timeline with costs and should align with Prince William County's Comprehensive Plan's goals for activity centers and redevelopment corridors. After staff provides the Board with a recommendation on the proposed study, the Board may then consider a resolution at a future Board meeting to conduct such a study.
