Restaurant Week

Overview

The County Executive was directed to work with appropriate staff to develop a plan for launching a Restaurant Week program in Prince William County, with the goal of promoting the County’s diverse culinary scene, supporting local businesses, and driving tourism and economic activity. The plan should include recommendations for timing, restaurant recruitment, advertising and promotion, and the administrative support needed to manage logistics such as coordination with participating restaurants and event tracking. Staff should also identify any potential funding needs to support this initiative, including costs associated with marketing, technology, and program management. The County Attorney’s Office is directed to review the information and recommendations for any legal issues. When the work is complete, the County Executive should report back to the Board with the plan and staff recommendations during a Board meeting or by memorandum, as he deems appropriate.
