Letter to Congressional Delegation Regarding Pharmacy Restocking Issues

Overview

County staff was directed to write a letter on behalf of the Board of County Supervisors to our Congressional delegation outlining the concerns and challenges faced by the County and the Fire and Rescue System because of the impact of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) on pharmaceutical restocking practices, which limits local hospitals from supplying local EMS agencies because the DEA will require tracking and tracing of pharmaceutical products through each step in the supply chain.
