Overview

County staff was directed to schedule a public hearing for the proposed January 21, 2025, meeting for the Board to consider amending the Noise Ordinance, specifically County Code Sec. 14-4(c). The proposed amendment would revise the allowable construction hours on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. It would also revise the allowable construction hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays observed by the County government from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. If the Board does not have a meeting on January 21, 2025, I would like to direct County staff to schedule the public hearing for the next Board meeting after that date at which public hearings are scheduled.
